Friendly staff and owner. Perfect location, the serenity is very nice. It's located in a national park. Very nice for relaxing, walking, san gimignano just 15 minutes away (by car). Optional to have dinner at the hotel. Food en wines are very good. Fairly priced. Rooms are clean and comfortable (with mini bar).

Nothing, we'll definately come back here.

Great stay . I enjoyed every bit of it. Wonderful people and great location for exploring Tuscany. Beautiful "peace of heaven". Great hosts. We will be back one day.

What I liked the most is the peace and calm of the place. Antico Casale is a completely new building far from the traffic and from the caotic life of the town and I really had the relax I was looking for. The food of the restaurant of the hotel was excellent, and the hostess Samantha was really nice in welcoming us and offering us a glass of the famous wine Chianti Classico at our arrival. Our room was well arranged and cleaned . The hotel is in a good position: it is near to San Gimignano and to the Chianti area (we visited a farm near the hotel and we had a wine tasting which was delicious!!! ;) I think that's the right place to go on vacation if you are searching for relax and good Tuscan food! ;)

Segnaletic is missing. It was not so easy to get to the hotel!

we liked everything about Antico Casale. the host Alberto was the most hospitable man ever and the receptionists Dario and Cristina were ever so helpful. The ambience was just perfect - sitting by the pool with a glass of wine and enjoying the surroundings was the kind of relaxation we were looking for. I highly recommend Antico Casale. Thanks to you all for the help and service.

We were delighted with our stay. Although a little difficult to find it was well worth it and to have reception (Sam) waiting for us made the journey worth while. The Hotel was just what we were looking for and we were made very welcome by all of the staff. We were only there for 5 days but this hotel will stay in our memories for many years and we were sad to leave. I would recomend this hotel to anyone who wants to get away from it all

Location was 4 kms off the main rd and a gravel rd. Electric generator located 25 metres operating 24/7 from accomodation spoiled the stay and workers completing the landscaping prevented privacy etc relocated after 3 nights.

The hotel was very clean, & room comfortable; but of course, it is only a few months old. The breakfast offered was very nice.

It was very difficult to locate; you need a GPS. very bad road to arrive at hotel. too remote - is not a farming B&B that produces its own products. only one person that works desk, service, etc. she was very over-worked.no telephone service or internet. no activities offered. a very quite place but would not recommend or return. in a valley that you can see nothing around.

One would think that staying at a little villa in the middle of a forest would be bad, but fact is that when entering the Antico Casale you get this welcoming and calm feeling. There are only 15 rooms. The rooms are furnished in typical Tuscan furniture. Not exclusive, but nice and clean with a local charm. The restaurant serves local and well prepared food made by the host of the villa. Good food. The breakfast is all home made with a good choice of fresh fruits, bread, cakes, yogurt, home made jams etc - and they also serve good coffee. The pool is nicely surrounded by lavender and with a view of the surrounding forests. There is a serene feeling about this whole place and it is a sanctuary and a true gem. We will be back.

This Tuscan Castle is beautiful. Don't rely on gps if coming from the north it is before town. The sign is small and it is a long drive in on a dirt road so don't think you have gone the wrong way, worth the drive and it is a nature reserve. Best breakfast we had on our vacation.if we are ever in the area again will be staying there.

Stayed for three nights. Quiet, very nice place, new, the place feels unfinished - kind of quickly put together - needs some refinement.

Jacuzzi should have warm water, not cold. Tv is the smallest possible, didn't bother me though- never turned it on...

The staff was very friendly, but disorganised. Rooms were very clean - actually brand new.

No wifi, no cellphone reception, no sauna, no jacuzzi, no laundry, no bicycle rental. The worst was when we checked out, the girl wanted payment in cash. This was not possible. We have requested prior to arriving that the full amount be deducted from credit card. No response and we've had no success in contacting Laura as per website details.

    The antique look outside.

First of all. The place is really out there 'in the middle of nowhere', way out of San Gimignano, accessible only by car, driving on cca 4 km narrow macadam road (preferably with off-road vehicle because of all the bumps and holes!). We had to wash our car as soon as we arrived back to civilisation, because of all the road dust. Second. They didn't say the hotel was still in construction phase at the time of our arrival. Couple of times, for a short time, we ran out of electricity. Third thing, which was a prerequisite for us! They advertised the wireless internet over web (Booked.net!) while in reality none was available at the time of our staying. Not even wired connection! And last but not least. They didn't make any check-in at the time of our arrival, and they couldn't give us any legal invoice at the time of check-out, because there was no computer nor cash desk available at the time! So in reality we felt like we were at some place in a Third World country, not in an eu member state. In total sum: not a good value for money at all! In fact it was an expensive and bad experience for the two of us!
